I've been a happy owner for a Breitling Navitimer 92 for about ten years now. (To be honest I wanted the Navitimer Airborne at the time, but after months of looking it was impossible to find. Instead a Navitimer 92 came up and I scooped it. Part of me still wants the Airborne, but I would find it hard to part with something that's been literally a part of me for so long!)

Anyway, it's time to replace the leather band. I've had a standard Breitling black calfskin strap that I've replaced every couple years. I'd like to try something a little different and have a metal bracelet instead. The Breitling factory told me that there is no bracelet for this watch currently available. It shares the same 38mm bezel diameter as the Navitimer Montbrillant series, so I'm a bit surprised that the 20/18mm stainless steel bracelet for the Montbrillant wouldn't fit.

Does anyone know if there are any Navitimer style bracelets that will fit my Navitimer 92? Is there a model number for the old bracelet that I might be able to give to dealers to help them search their inventory? I've visited a few Breitling dealers in person and even Tourneau in New York City had no idea what to make of it. If it helps any, my leather band is labeled 20-18 120.

The reason that another 20/18 bracelet won't fit is that the endlinks are different on the different bracelets to ensure a proper fit with the case.

I believe that the bracelet code for a 92 was 420A.

I have a two tone 92 pilot bracelet. No model number on it, just "NAVI 92" I think the navitimer 92 only came with a pilot Bracelet.

Hmmm.

I'll need to check - I thought it spanned the switch from pilot to Navi, but not 100% and if you have the pilot that's pretty conclusive.

Is it possible there could have been both styles?

I've photos of a Navitimer 92 with the Navitimer style:

And with the Pilot style:

I believe the Navitimer Airborne has the same case dimensions as the Navitimer 92, and I'm quite sure that I've seen examples of the Navitimer Airborne with the Navitimer-style bracelet.

I just wanted to say thank you! After a very long search, I just recently found a Navitimer bracelet for my Navitimer 92. :D It is indeed called a 420A. Knowing the part number was essential to finding one. So now I am happily wearing my Navitimer 92 with the Navitimer bracelet; it feels like a new watch and I couldn't be happier.
