After drooling over the Avenger Skyland Black Steel for more than a year and dragging my wife kicking and screaming into loads of watch shops on the hunt for this bad boy, she decided it was time to give it to me for my 30th.(She had it for 8 months)

34. Younger, I would have certainly liked one, but my financial perspective was different. At this point in my life, I'm getting serious about investing in certain quality items that make a difference. For me, a fine aviator's watch was one of them.

29 years and 355 days old. Just bought a Blackbird from mfserge yesterday, I thought it would be a pretty good 30th b'day present.

Bought my first vintage one, Cadette , at the age of 17 . The second one at the age of 18 , a Navitimer 1461/52 . The third one came this last month , you guessed it right , a Navitimer 125th , numbered 1971 . ;) I keep myself occupied around 3 works , so all watches I get are strictly self-funded , yet my mother does some nice grins , when I tell her some relevant price tags . I just bought a rapport optima carbon fibre winder as well , but I think it is time to stop consuming right now .

Bought this beauty a couple of weeks back at the tender age of 24. Up next is a Panerai 112 and Rolex Submariner. Then hopefully I can get into Hublots and 5 figure watches.

Wow! I wasn't expecting over 70 responses when I originally started this thread. It is always nice to know that others share in my passion for watches. I also wasn't expecting the responses to be so diverse. It seems that an affection for Breitling persists among all generations :D

I still have yet to receive my new Blacksteel Seawolf Chrono :? I ordered it back in the beginning of June, the AD said it would take about 8 weeks to arrive from Breitling. It has been the most torturous 5 weeks in my entire life! I have second guessed my decision probably 10 times since ordering it but I reassure myself every time by looking at this pic.

Image

I tried it on in Schipol Airport in Amsterdam and snapped a pic. I obsessed about it for a week before I went to my local AD and placed the order.

What do you all think?

I've been lusting after breitlings since I was 19. My wife finally surprised me 2 Christmases ago at the age of 34 with a Breitling for Bentley Motors T. Since then I've been addicted. I'm not sure, but I might have been better off, and wealthier, before. :? :lingsrock:
