Side note # 2. Anybody else think that a bunch of players getting together and all agreeing to take pay cuts to win is kind of cheesy?

Umm, are folks in your parts getting a little nervous??

It definitely looked like an AP ROO of some type.

@ RJ Didn't Karl "The Mailman" Malone take a pretty big pay cut to try to get his ring in LA?

he did, which is understandable. So did Ron Artest. My issue is when an entire group gets together and does it. Imagine the US Olympic team players getting together and saying "lets all take the league minimum and join the Bobcats and be the best team in NBA history." Even if they succeed, its pretty lame.

I hope they turn out to be good because at this point we're in a league of our own.

I'm not into conspiracy theories - even though I can prove Abraham Lincoln shot Kennedy! But one wonders if this was really the doing of these 3 players. Pat Riley cleared his plate of every meanungful contract a couple years ago to place Miami in the singular position to do this deal. Hmmm...Pat Riley. How ironic. :nana:

In indifferent with his decision for the most part. I don't agree with the way he left Cleveland i.e not informing them and letting them find out the same day the rest of us did. I don't agree with making them wait and turning it into a fiasco especially when Kevin Durant re-signed his contract with little to know hoopla at all. Lebron has been a PR nightmare the past few years but the bottom line is that he has full-filled his contractual obligations and is entitled to play wherever he wants too. He gave the Cleveland Cavs a new hope but the reality is it takes more than just one man to win and maybe LBJ just isn't that man to build around. So what he's from Cleveland, he didn't ask to be drafted there but he did play for 7 years, played hard and gave it his all at most times! Wether we like it or not, all sports teams use players up and then cut them, trade them etc when they're no longer performing at the highest level, so since both sides know it's ultimately a business and a business is about making money, no harm no foul. Sure, Dan Gilbert payed him millions of dollars, but LBJ also made him 10x that amount, so LBJ owes Dan Gilbert not a damn thing! It's his life and what decisions that he makes are truly up to him.

That was a nice AP he was wearing though, but what do you expect, his idol Jay-Z wears and endorses them, so like father like son, right?

LBJ

I read this 3 times trying to figure out what Lydon B. Johnson had to do with King James. It's a generational thing.

I'd think LBJ would be pretty easy to figure out considering the title of this thread is LeBron James' Watch and LeBron James' decision to leave the Cleveland Cavs but hey, yeah, Lyndon B. Johnson sure would fit the topic just as well, lol. Geez!

LBJ versus Goldwater is the first Presidential memory I have. In my generation (Christ I feel like I'm writing a Who song. You know, the Who - those guys who played the Superbowl  ) the letters "LBJ" meant only one thing.

Now if you'll excuse me it's time for my nurse to give me a sponge bath.

I'm pretty familiar with "The Who" lol but LBJ the prez definitely wasn't the focal point here, lol. We're talking LBJ the king! Enjoy your sponge bath lol.

LEBUM , Is dead to Ohio now! I am sure Jay Z gave him the Ap since Ap makes a Jay Z Royal Oak model ,and Jay wanted LEBUM to come to New York. I hope LEBUM falls on his face ,and never wins a title.

Sorry for your loss. I think I had a lesser resentment against my ex when we divorced than most Ohio natives do towards LBJ. Maybe she will pop her achilles and never walk again  and....oh yeah, we are talking basketball here.
