Hello all,
i have just recieved a Breitling watch that was handed down to me by my father, and i need your help to figure out the value and such.

i have done my research to find out the model and value but i cannot find the same number

its Breitling for Bentley Series - Motors
and the number on the back is a25062, not a25362 like i find on the websites, it looks the same, and same specs just a different number?

thanks in advance for your help!

With that serial number it's most likely a fake I'm afraid. All Bentleys are Chronometer rated which means a "3" instead of a "0". Sorry.

Post us up a couple of pictures and we'll soon let you know one way or the other, but the signs already aren't good I'm afraid.

Isn't it a bit weird for a replica to have something like an engraving like this different than the watch it is trying to replicate . :P

No. Some replica makers try harder than others. I had previously googled that "model" number and only hit a website in Chinese, but as I wasn't sure, I waited for someone who knew. There are plenty of lower grade fake makers who just look at a picture. Pretty easy for a "3" to be misread as a "0" on a picture.

Some replica manufacturers deliberately put one or two differences in. The charitable would say it's so that there is a way to tell and avoid the unsuspecting being duped. The cynical would say it's to claim that it's not a direct replica and try to protect themselves from legal action.

There are replicas that are virtually indistinguishable, even in person, with ETA movements and unique serial numbers. There are replicas that don't even pretend to try to replicate the original - the so called "paper watches." And pretty much everything in between. The $30 bottom feeders don't trouble me much, but the good fake makers, they are dangerous.

The model #s are stamped on replicas, not engraved, so it's possible someone just got a # wrong on one production run. Replica manufaturing in China is against Chinese law. These facillities are not typically well established. They have to be - how to say it - mobile.

Some pics from the OP would help to ferret things out.
