OK so my wife does not get the whole watch thing, she obviousely knows that I am very much into watches but I have never really told her about my odd habits, such as my polishing routine or frequent strap changing sesions. She obviousely might have noticed but neither of us addressed the issue, I havent told her about my deep passion and she does not ask.

Anyway, I came back home the other day from work and went in for a shower and change of clothing, I usually change watches at this time from a work watch to soething more casual. As I walked out of the bathroom, towel around my wait, I put the Rolex Deepsea in the watch box and pulled out my Omega Planet Ocean chrono, the I thought hey where is the PloProf? And there it was in the other box. I decided I needed a theme for the watches in each storage box so I pulled them both out and on the bed, and since I was doing that I thought I would also organise my straps in their storage box (an old humidor) so there they are, all out and spread out on the bed infront of me.

Just then I notice that my PAM 233 has a scratch on the bezel, so I take out the polish cloth to see if I can get it out, I put my loup on to see how deep the scratch really is and at that particular moment, my wife walks in. I was practicly naked, with about 16 watches and 60 straps laid out infront of me while I was rubbing one with a cloth and a loupe jammed in my eye socket. It couldnt have been worse if I was whispering "My Precious" in a pink TuTu!!!

She stood there for about 30 seconds, picked up what she came in for, and 24 hours later we still havent aknowledged the situation to each other, but I am waiting to be surprised by some sort of group intervention.

Well there you go, I thought you guys could at least get a laugh at my expense.

Are you suggesting your wife's perception was innacurate??

You're right, I did get a laugh out of that!

She probably had an inkling already, of course.

 That made me laugh!

While she may not have mentioned it yet, you can rest assured she'll bring that up if you ever call something she does "weird"!

She was actually thinking, "What?! He only has *16* watches?"

See, you should have taken them all out. ;)

Let's just hope she had a clear view of you polishing the watch. Otherwise the situation could easily be a lot more awkward than you think

The only thing you have to be concerned with is how many of her girlfriends have heard this story.

You need help buddy.

Not for the watches, that's perfectly normal.

It's the pink TuTu that's bothersome.

There's always the Dr. Phil Show. Perfect for situations like this.

Well, I guess as long as you didn't have "wood" when she walked it; it's o.k. Sort of.

Brilliant Altair, that really is very funny

You do know that no matter what you do or say she'll never understand or agree.

All I can say is good luck
