You can read the story of the Navitimer here and see pictures of a similar watch as well http://vintageure.dk/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=109

This story is not true.

here i have found a better website where you can read the true history of the Navitimer 806. Use the english translation.

Phantom !

Whatever your real name is, from now on I`ll call you "phantom" and I strongly recommend : "Visit a qualified psychiatrist !"

Your childish behaviour bores me (and I think many others) to death ! IMHO your forum only exists of your own monologues and fake members (just like your watches).

All your 806`s are not half as good as the pristine piece I bought from Kurt B. 5 months ago, your prices are a joke in relation to the junk you´re offering.

Your sales must be down to zero, because I can`t imagine somebody to be so foolish to step into your trap.

You are still offering that corroded black 806 with 3 different hands at the subdials for 6000.-€ waiting for a poor idiot to waste his money.

Why don`t you close your wreckyard and disappear ?

Roff, I can´t understand why you just don`t cut off the childs game this guy is playing ?

Out for cold beer now,
Julius

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to stir up any trouble. Thank you for the links Kurt, I found them very useful.

One question, the place you have recommended for restoration is not in the Uk and I would prefer not to trust to post abroad if possible.

Do any of you have any recommendations of anyone who could do this work in the UK, preferably London based?

Or should I really be thinking of doing this?

I think that Breitling in the UK (Tunbridge Wells) still have watchmakers who can work on vintage pieces, might be worth contacting them.

Julian,
I have not needed to use Tunbridge Wells, but any contact by e-mail has been promptly replied to. Give them a ring. Contact info is on the breitjing.com site. I am quite sure they do have the ability to attend to your 806, but obviously will not give you a price until they have stripped it. You can send straight to them rather than pay an AD to "pass it on".
Do let us all know how you get on with any approaches you make to anyone in the UK as I'm sure there are guys in the UK with Vintage Breitlings who would benefit from your experiences. Good luck with your project. :lingsrock:

POLITICS:-
Doesn't a moderater have the tools to just remove a post especially if members are being unpleasant to eack other. This thread could have been half the length if not for the infighting. Us newbies have no information to help us decide who is Kosher and who isn't. I will now return to reading and learning and not take up any more time with "politics" :!:

I wouldn't even think about using Breitling, they will charge a fortune for a job that any educated watchmaker can do.

Get in touch with this guy, his name is Graham and he have serviced hundreds of navitimers in the past, feel free to let him know that that I recommended him.

Another possibility is that you can send it to me, and then I'll ask my watchmaker to deal with it, this will definitely be the cheapest way to do it, but then you will have to send it to Denmark, you can PM me for a price.

Best of luck, Kurt B

+1.

I can give an unqualified recommendation for Graham in the UK. As Kurt says he has restored/serviced many Navitimers and knows them
inside out.

Yes, but I personally choose to censor only as a last resort.
