I'll be heading to Vegas next week. I'm in the market for a new Navitimer World. Just wanting to know if anyone has has the pleasure of watch shopping in Vegas, if so if they could kindly point me to the stores that are worth while and those that are not. Thanks so much.

I have a house and live in Vegas for about half the year. These are the best shops to go browse and all are within a 10 minute walk from each other on the Vegas strip. I do not recommend buying from these. They will NOT offer a good discount and they will tell you the reason....they don't need to. They are easier on the regular locals and ruthless on tourist. I'd advise browsing these stores and trying on every piece you could dream of and then finding an AD elsewhere.

Caesar's Palace Forum Shops - Tourneau, Roman Times, and a couple of more. You can pretty much see every brand and model under one roof here
Bellagio - Watch shop near the lobby, most of the 'high' end brands to browse
Venetian - Horologio, another good shop to browse
Wynn- Wynn and Co. Jewelry, Rolex Store. Another high end watch shop with plenty to drool at and every gaudy Rolex you could imagine

I just got back from Vegas. I was specifically looking for a Zenith. The only AD I could find was in the new City Center complex. The store was called "Radiance." They carried Zenith, IWC, Ulysse Nardin, B&R, Breitling, AP, Hublot, JLC, and some other lesser known brands I can't recall right now. It was a decent shop, but they only have about 8-15 watches from any given manufacturer.

I have shopped but not bought out there. The AD who I felt was most willing to negotiate was the one inside the Mirage. It is a smaller place, so the selection is not as robust as some of the others. Also, some of them will make thinly veiled references to shipping an empty box to your house to avoid the sales tax…..

Generally speaking, I will agree that better discounts are available elsewhere. Don’t forget money talks, especially in Vegas. If you pull out a wad of hundreds, and say “ I have X dollars with me, and I want this watch right now” you never know what will happen. Maybe they will pretend to be insulted, or maybe that sales person has been having an unusually tough month…..Besides, a stack of cash is harder to turn down than tourist #7,639 firing point blank price questions.

Best of luck, I’m sure you will enjoy shopping regardless of the outcome.

Thats funny I was just gonna reply to this thread with " I would recommend going to the Mirage across from the revolution lounge there is a really nice fine watch store... The guys in there are pretty cool."

I also really like Tourneau They have a good trade in program and just about every watch you could want......just about....

Here's a link to a writeup I did of my Vegas AD experience: http://breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8679

Have fun! I haven't been to Vegas in well over a year, and I am yearning to go there to look at watches again.

Exactly - Vegas is the best place in the world to DECIDE which watch you want to own. Then contact jnelson here for George at Govberg's contact info. I recently did that and was simply amazed at what transpired in a simple 5 minute phone call. Haven't executed the deal yet, but likely will soon once I decide among a Breguet, a JLC, and an AP.

I purchased a watch from Tourneau at Caesars Palace about a year ago. I got 60% off retail, granted it was a Tourneau Gotham (a watch Ive always liked). The guy there was good. But alot tougher to get a discount on anything else.

Good luck

The ADs know in Vegas that they don't have to discount the big ticket items because people will buy on an impulse on there. They prey on the weak! Do your homework before going or buy pre-owned from a fellow forum member
