you need to take some serious action roff! whilst I may get banned for this- it is meant in good spirit and in a nice way, what you need to do is work her over all night long until she starts saying word "Breitling". You need to show her that your Mr Showtime now otherwise its all over! We're depending on you now - do it for Breitling do it for the World :lingsrock:

That really is very funny Roff  Hard to imagine your wife thinking it's her turn  So I guess you'll end up getting it for her.

Well let's not get carried away!

If she says Christmas then I have 6 months to find something else for her!

@Sharky - love the comment on the use of the Panerai catalogue

Well, if 6 months isn't long enough are you comfortable losing 1/2 your watches in the impending divorce?

This is irony at it's best. I , for ONCE, do not envy your situation!

That'll learn ya to keep a Panerai catalog in the house!

I found I like getting watches for my wife because I get to see them a lot when she wears them. Plus, it's easier to stare at the watch in public if it's on her wrist than on mine.

But, man, it's gonna suck when you have to stare at that PAM all the time.

I would try subliminal suggestions when she's asleep.

At least your wife like nice watches, I've been trying to get mine to wear something other than an ESQt. She thinks that anything over $200 for a watch is a waste of money.

This is win/win as far as I am concerned!

You get to wear the watch!

Most watches evoke a range of responses in test subjects. However, Panerais are somewhat different in that people are either A) inexplicably drawn to worship them or B) they find them (as the rather bland and uninteresting design would lead one to presuppose) rather bland and uninteresting. This unique pathology has led neurologists to posit the existence of a particular part of the brain, the "paneraital lobe," that exists in some people and not for others. Whether this condition is genetic, degenerative, or trauma-induced is unknown.

You and your wife would make an excellent pair of subjects to test this theory. Each one of you could be shown an image of a Panerai while undergoing a functional MRI scan. The part of the brain that is active in your wife but not in yours would be the Paneraital lobe. It could then be neutralized with a paneraital lobotomy.

Or it could be that she just using more of her brain (the danger with my wife, for example, is that I am pretty sure the "text messaging cortex" of her brain is active 24/7, even while asleep.) As a control, the area of interest should therefore remain dormant when shown images of interesting and tasteful brands such as Breitling*, Breguet, Glaschuette Original, or JLC.

Roff, I've realized without a doubt... chicks dig PAM's. I've only presented my watchbox to a few people who asked to see it, and each time, without hesitation, each female in the room pointed to the PAM and said "thats my favorite" without any context to trends or cost. My wife and my sister in law, both interior designers, have proclaimed the 111 as their favorites. They simply love the look. So I'm not surprised by your wife's taste.

Try to talk her into a 312, even you, a staunch anti-PAM guy must be able to appreciate the in-house movement and combination of nice characteristics of this model. And no... I will not sell you my 328 :)

I don't let my wife wear my watches... she beats the living $#!+ out of her watches, hits doorframes, scratches, scuffs, you name it. So no way she will ever wear one of my beloved. This might be a good argument for a replica purchase

Good luck.
