Well, I searched in vain for a pic of a Steelfish with the Ocean Racer Strap. Ordered the strap from my AD yesterday anyhow. I figure it looked so good on all the other models, why not the Steelfish. I did wait awhile since getting my Steelfish, trying to justify the cost of the Ocean Racer. The Diver Pro Strap is $75.00, the Ocean Racer is $350. The folding steel clasp alone is $200. so I can't understand the extra $150.00 for the rubber. I am wondering if it is treated any differently than the rubber on the Diver Pro? Sounds like a dumb question, but I really am not a "rubber expert". I realize with the clasp, the entire strap will last a lot longer, though. When you consider the PRO II strap alone is $420., the Ocean Racer is not far behind. I figure with all the circular hour markers on the Steelfish, the circles on the strap should look very good. Well, I shall try to post some pics when I get the strap, and when I get the hang of my camera. My AD said they had not seen a Steelfish yet with the Ocean Racer.
Cheers,
Carl

Can't wait to see that Carl. I haven't seen a model yet that hasn't looked fantastic with the Ocean strap on it.

When I bought my Ocean Racer from a local dealer, the deployant and rubber portion had separate price tags. The deployant was marked $275 and the strap was marked $75. The dealer assured me that I could get replacement rubber for $75 if necessary, which I thought was a fair price. I hope MY dealer is correct, and I don't have to eventually pay $150 for the rubber... :D

you can replace the rubber I just purchased the calfskin strap with the tang buckle at my local AD. He put on all the different straps for me so I could pick and they all looked great. The only strap that you have to replace the entire piece is the tang strap.
