Of the ones I already have it would be the Louis Moinet Twintech

Wow...you like the Moinet that much? That says something.

I think I would be going for the JLC Master Perpetual 8 day skeleton as well. I find that the skeleton watches are not has hard to read in person. My fear with perpetuals is that I would accidentally let them wind down. But if it were my only watch, then I wouldn't have to worry about that.

As far as the "real world" consideration, it would either be be the Bucherer Patravi TravelTec GMT (in either black or blue dial) or the Glaschuette Original Senator Chronometer:

I would have to think whether I wanted a "wear every day" kind of watch or a "wear during special occasions" one.

I dont know if all perpetuals are the same, but the JLC gyro has a hand that you can see through the display back that indicates one of four year positions so its probably not too difficult to set.

I want to say it would be the Patek Sky Moon Tourbillon, but I do not know how well that would work out as an all-around watch, not that I wouldn't wear it whilst building things or working on cars.

That notwithstanding, I do not know if I could decide between a Lange Double Split, or an AP Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon. Good thing we can have more than one watch!

last I checked this is the BREITLING Source forum. With all the debate of B versus R. it´s very surprising to me to see so many of you guys replying, that if you had to choose only one watch, You´d go with a Rolex??? :huh

Nothing against it, just a thought???

I think there's just a lot of general watch fans on here as opposed to just Breiting fans.

My personal choice of the SDDS in this thread was based on a number of probably far too practical factors(!) which I outlined above, and if I did only have to have to have one watch, that'd probably be it. And that's even though I personally don't like a lot that Rolex do both in terms of models and the way they market and conduct business. I just really like the SDDS as a standalone piece.

But luckily, I don't just have to have just one watch, so I can enjoy plenty of other models too!

My Navitimer, I've had two years now and I still get the buzz when I put it on, it looks and feels great. I've looked at some of the expensive watches and they don't do it for me! All down to personal choice........ I guess?

For me... it would be Rolex Deep Sea or my Seawolf. If I have to wear one and only one watch. I won't use a grande complication, a navitimer or any other watch that I have to take off to shower or swim. I want a watch that can be used everyday and everywhere and can resist a nuclear explosion.

Well... apart from the fact I had to go back and look at my previous post to see what I wrote (must be getting older), no I haven't changed my mind. Still a Rolex Sub or SD for me.

Since I last posted I actually got the chance to try on the Rolex GMT-IIc and that's what I would go with. Damn that thing is just really nice.

An excellent choice
Only reason I didn't nominate the GMT is because if I only have one, it would have to be a dive watch.
