Would you consider or wear the SOH on mesh a dress watch?

Would you wear it under a suit for a formal occasions, eg: weddings, social functions etc?

Of course! It is a perfect dress watch on the Ocean Classic.

Me thinks that as well! :lingsrock:

It can be both dressy (Ocean classic) or sporty (Ocean racer strap)!

Well my personal thought is that a leather, or better croc, strap is the most appropriate dress style of this watch. Just my opinion tho.

I'm awaiting arrival of my SOH 46 and the first thing I will purchase for it is a black crocco strap for some black tie weddings I will be attending.

You can't go wrong either way with this watch. Can be dressed up with mesh or sporty with the croc which can be worn with a suit or casual. It's one of my favorite Lings.

Like Serge I'm more of the mind that most Lings look "dressier" on steel than leather - croco or calf. I suppose it's just that Breitling straps are made to be sporty, especially with the heavy contrast stitching.

I am kind of forced into the situation because my other three watches (Plo Prof, Graham Swordfish, Graham Chronofighter) are way off being dress watches. However, I think the SO Heritage on the mesh looks awesome when I'm wearing a shirt, etc. It's such a classy looking watch, in my opinion, with great attention to detail.

If you're wearing a croc watch strap, should you be wearing croc shoes and belt too?

Especially on the mesh - yes.

That's certainly what I'm trying to convince myself (& Mrs Swiftnick) so that I can hunt one down on the grounds that my current batch aren't "dressy" enough!

That is a hell of an expensive outfit if so. I personally try to limit myself to one, and maybe two, skin pieces at a a time.

That being said I don't think a watch and belt in crocco is too much. Throw the shoes though and you are going to risk loking ridiculous.

IMHO, a croco strap is much classier, especially with the SO :)

Another vote for a black croco to make it look as dressy as possible.
