Regarding Herbert/Norbert/Alex/Michael's claim, there is absolutely no basis for such a statement. To the end, Breitling had sufficient quality control to avoid such circumstances. Consistency in Breitling markings is one of the things that made it so difficult to finally decide that we had a numbering discrepancy with the "1953" 806s.

Since you have just noted that you exchange Navitimer casebacks on a regular basis, and it is true that you have offered many, many cobbled together Navitimers for sale, I think your observations should be discounted entirely. In fact, I have previously recommended you be banned from commerce and I stick to that. You're just not trustworthy.

Everything is wrong on that watch.

“Swiss Made T” means Tritrium dial, everybody can see that there’s Luminova on the markers, and the way it looks tells me that it’s a factory produced dial, the old Breitling Company would never have done that, neither pushers or crown are original to an 806 Navitimer, that together with a Venus 178 in an 806 E with a sky high serial number can only mean that it was never born like that, and hence it has no collectible value at all.

It’s obvious that “alexmedwejew” AKA Herbert/Norbert/Alex/Michael's claims as he does, as he have been producing that kind of watches for years.

Roff, can’t you see it, he’s again deliberetely trying to justify the miserable junk watches he is producing and selling, stating that these kind of watches are original with whatever excuse he can find, and he’s doing it right here in your Forum.

It's not "my" forum, I merely moderate.

Like many others I have suspicions but no one has ever been banned from BreitlingSource based on suspicion and I don't intend to start now.

At the OP, I would be interested in knowing where you acquired the watch (PM is fine if you prefer). The underlying suggestion here is that a member here sold you the watch as real and is now trying to justify it.

As Kurt B suggests, there are a number of significant problems with this watch and I have to wonder why an "expert" on the subject thinks differently.

Hi Kurt, its exactly what I said before:

Quote:
a very hight serial number of the end of the official Breitling production 1978 or later or made after the end of the official production. In this time Breitling or Breitling-workers or other watchmakers assemled all parts which they could find in the stock.

and if you mean me with Alex,
I was neither a Breitling employees, nor a watchmaker, nor do I understand something of the craft or have any parts for that I am much too young. Forget these speculations.
