Posted the Breguet to show the style that interests me....not a big fan of the dresssier iwc look.. I like the look of the sportier breguet....that can be had preowned for around 13k.

Make more sense now sharkgirl??? And it's 42.5 not 39.5.

I seeeeee - it IS the Type XXI(42mm), not the XX(40mm). The dial looked black which would be the older XX rather than the ruthenium brown/copper of the XXI. A new Type XXI in rose gold on croc lists for $18,950.

Ya don't have to get all testy about it - I know where you live! :guns:

The SS XXI is in my field of fire - not so sure about the size - but what a gorgeous dial. But the XXII - ohhhhhhhhhh that's a watch. May be out of my range though,

If you like the skeleton look take a look at Chronoswiss - still stretching the budget way beyond $8,000 - although used is at least in the same ballpark, even if it's out by the wall.

They offer pretty good bang for the buck if the onion crown doesn't put you off.

the big crown is a bit of a turn off, but what's the major difference between the perrelet and chronoswiss?? They look almost identical.

Bring it on Shark....bring it!

They are similar looks - that's why I suggested it as you said that you liked the Perrelet.

Oh, sorry. Fairly comparable, both in house, both pretty good quality wise. They are both fairly small which can sometimes hurt customer service but I haven't heard bad things about either. I'd probably give the edge to Chronoswiss based on the movement - Perrelet effectively only have one caliber - the P181 and then bolt modules onto that. Chronoswiss have a number of distinct movements made for the specific set of complications.

Might not be what you had in mind, but it is definitely sporty and I'm sure you could get one for under 8k (MSPR is 9,900):

I hate to say this....BUT the my favorite rose gold watch so far is a Panerai Radiomir PAM231. Pink Gold, black face, and brown strap. It doesn't have the sporty look that I'm looking for but it's perfectly clean and classy! anyone have a retail price on that puppy?

As much as I love the look of rose gold, black dial, brown strap - how could it get better??? - I'd be scared s&*$less wearing an 18K gold watch, knowing the ease with which I could gouge he heck out of it.

More power to ya Serg, I just don't have the guts.
