Hey,

I was wondering, if a watch model is discontinued, does that mean that there is absolutely no way of getting the watch through the manufacturer? Or, does money talk? Or are there other ways of getting one? Again, I emphasize, from the manufacturer.

Thanks,
crasian1030

Once production stops and inventory is gone, the watch is done.

Of course if you want to wait 2 years and offer Breitling $100,000 to make you a Skyracer, my bet is they would do it.

Yea you have to scour the dealers and troll the auction places.

You can still pick up a discontinued watch for maybe 2 or 3 years if you search hard enough.

Ok, thanks. Got the response I was expecting, but it did verify a few things.

Just out of curiosity, which watch were you looking at?

Breitling has tons of cases, hands, bezel, etc of discontinued watches but just for services.

I was just wondering in general terms. But it started when I looked at this Patek, it was just discontinued this year. I am, however, in no position to purchase a 50k+, I forget the price, maybe higher, watch. But I would love, love, LOVE to own the exact one in the future and just wanted to see if it was possible aside from searching and searching from sellers.
