Here are some pictures of my Omega Plo Prof, Graham Chronofighter GMT Big Date and Graham Swordfish.

I'd love to hear your opinions. Both positive and negative are welcome. All three are fairly opinion dividing designs.

I think that they are all great watches, they all appeal to my current desire to own 'different' watches.

My only issue with Graham (and the only reason that I haven't bought one) is the relatively high price for a generic movement. Design wise I applauf the audacity.

That's a great set of watches you have there.

OK you asked for opinions, so here's mine! :D

The Omega Ploprof is hands down one of my all time favourite watches. I've got one that's been partially paid off and sitting in my AD's safe for the past couple of months! Unfotunately I've kept finding other things to spend the balance on over the last couple of pay-days, but it will be with me very soon. So it's safe to say that I think the Ploprof is absolutely fantastic.

The Graham Chronofighter GMT Big Date is a seriously unique thing, and while I really like them to look at, I personally find the crown and pushpiece arrangement to intrusive whenever I've tried one on. But like I say, I really like the look.

The Swordfish though is my favourite watch that Graham make, although I actually slightly preferred the older dial with the smaller more rounded numbers instead of the lareg square numbers. But the case and the crystal with the two "eye" is a thing of beauty...... and not to mention totally unique. I really like it!

So, a great collection you have there!

I'm obviously in the minority (so far) but I strongly dislike all of them. You couldn't pay me to wear them.

But wouldn't it be boring if we all liked the same things! Wear them well!

I agree with shark mouth. That omega strikes me as very odd looking. The graham gmt would be great if it didn't have a cigarette lighter on the crown!

But hey....we all love different things so congrats on your unique collection.

Personally, i love the Graham GMT. Like Roff, the only thing keeping me from buying one is the inflated price (given the generic movement).

Thank You all for Your honest opinions about my other timepieces.

As I said before I appreciate that these timepieces are slightly outrageous in their design. It would be a boring world if we all liked the same things.

Thank You also for the kind words about the pictures. I'd love to be able to take better pictures and I am slightly limited by my pocket Canon Ixus900.

Thank You Prof.

May I just say that I think the Swordfish actually fits in with the same price range as a Chronomat Evo, the Planet Ocean Chrono, the IWC Aquatimer Chrono, etc, etc.

Also, the Chronofighter GMT Big Date does contain a manufacture movement.

Further more, I was able to take advantage of a local dealership who was looking to move his Graham stock on. I bought both of my Grahams for trade prices.

Thank You for Your honest and eloquent opinions Mr Driver8.

Best of luck with getting hold of your Plo Prof soon. You will not be dissapointed. I absolutely love this watch. It is my favourite Omega by a long long way. The original was a great design, IMHO. The design and functionality was given considerable input from Jaques Cousteau and COMEX. The new model is a great homage brought right up to date with sapphire glass bezel, in-house Co-Axial movement, anodised hand/button, micro adjustable ratchet bracelet clasp, etc, etc.

The Chronofighter is surprisingly comfortable for a large watch. This is due to all of the swithgear being on the left hand side, which never digs into the wrist.

As you say teh Swordfish is unique. I remember the opinions on another forum when it was first announced was that it was a debacle. However, I loved it straight away. When I finally got to try one on I knew I would love to own one. There are so many wondeful design details and the fit and finish is exemplorary.

Thanks again. I truly appreciate your opinions.

True words indeed.

I do get asked about these three watches more than my Breitling. Most people seem genuinely interested when I explain the various design elements of these watches and their functionality.

You'll all be glad to know that I get more compliments about my SuperOcean Heritage Chrono "Green" than these three from the layman in the streets. :D

Yeah I've heard that the G1733 was in house, but I've been unable to find out much about it. That would certainly change things for me, because it truly fits my current desire for unique pieces in my collection.

Sorry, I have to agree with Sharkman on this one not my taste either although they are fascinating watches but not my personal choice, too much sticking out for my liking :D .

Certainly a different collection to most that I can think of on here.

Cheers
