Hello, my first post here at the Breitling Source.....
I also became a proud member of the Seiko Ananta owners club back in February, when I picked up this beauty....

This is the Ananta Spring Drive GMT model SNR019 with the metal bracelet.
I have never owned a Breitling watch, so I can not make a fair assessment regarding its quality and finishing versus the Anantas. But so far I can say that Seiko has finally come up with a very competitive and viable option to the more established Swiss luxury brands in the international market. I am extremely pleased with it. +1 seconds in 4 months of ownership (The Seiko official accuracy specs for the 5r66 SD movement of -/+ 15 secs per day are extremely conservative imho) and it is just a satisfying watch to wear on the wrist and beautiful to look at. There is nothing else out there like it.
A few weeks later, decided to add a second Ananta, this time the SRQ005 Automatic Chronograph with croc strap....

While the croc strap was nice, I did not like the single fold deployant clasp bitting onto the side of my wrist.
Sold it a couple of weeks ago and ordered the Ananta Automatic Chrono but the SRQ003 version with metal bracelet (The Ananta bracelet is superb quality, very comfortable and compliments the overall look of the watch better imho). I picked it up from the AD just a couple of days ago....

The Automatic chrono has the Seiko caliber 8r28 movement...34 jewels, 292 hand assembled components, column wheel, vertical clutch, 3 point hammer piece for instant chrono hands reset, 12 hour chronograph, 45+ hours power reserve, 28,800 BPH.
As you can tell, I am a huge fan of the Seiko Anantas. In the near future I am contemplating adding a third one, the Ananta Spring Drive Chronograph SPS007:

I plan to produce a couple of Youtube.com video reviews on my Anantas. In the mean time, please enjoy the written review I made on my Spring Drive GMT SNR019 at the link below:
