 Have to the opportunity to possibly trade my Avenger Seawolf and some boot for a Chrono Avenger of approximately the same age and condition. I like the complication appearance and have been considering a different Breitling. Question is...what are the drawbacks I may not be considering? The M1 is quartz compared to the automatic of the AS. Both, obviously, titanium and roughly the same size. M1 may be more to have serviced, cleaned, etc... but shouldn't it be worth more over time or would the automatic movement of the AS hold better value? Thanks for your help.

If you like it, go for it! I would guess most on here prefer auto to quartz but I've 3 quartz Breitlings including a Chrono Shark which is kind of a predecessor of the CA M1.

Servicing costs of a quartz chrono are about the same as an automatic non-chrono so that's not an issue.

If you don't take to it, you can always flip.

I bought an M1 about 4 weeks ago, black face. Totally in love with it, and it still continues to grow on me more by the day!

As far as "holding value" neither watch is "known for holding value" in fact if you take a look at the buy/sell/trade section watches are hard to sell these days.

what i like the most in my M1 is the superquartz accurancy, i leave it for 1 month inside the box and i doesn`t loose a second, also i love the dial of the black m1
