A guy I work with noticed my Navitimer the other day and said his girlfriend used to work at a local Breitling dealer and reeled off the list of watches she was given whilst she was there. He was probably in his early thirties so unless he goes for the older woman (
) it seems the sales people get lavished on pretty nicely!
I've found a few cranky salespeople, mainly in the UK and at larger chains like Goldsmiths. As an occasional scruffy University student I was usually given the 'are you aware you are near expensive watches that are out of your price range' look.
Even when I made it clear I knew what I was looking for by saying something like, 'I was browsing through Chronolog and thought I'd take a look at a Navitimer Olympus' I'd get the pissed off look like I'm bothering them!
