Thanks for all your replies. This forum is great!! Well, just to update you guys, I went to the shop with my wife to have the SOSF strap fitted, but my wife was telling me that she was thinking of getting me a chrono watch instead as I don't own a chrono as of yet (I have a gold/silver Rolex datejust and Tag, both of which are normal watches). I tried on the Avenger Skyland and immediately fell in love with it. The size, weight and just about everything was perfect about it. My wife insisted on exchanging the SOSF for the Skyland (free exchange, but had to pay a little extra for avenger) and I walked out of the shop with a big smile on my face. Thanks for all your input on the SOSF, but to both my wife and I, the Skyland just looks and feel better. I believe I have been converted to a Breitling fan : )

Almost 1,5 years ago my wife too took me to an Ad and I got to choose a Breitling for my wedding present and I too chose the mighty AS. (I chose it even over the Chronomat which I already thought I´d get, but I liked the AS more). I think it´s the best Alrounder of the Aeromarine range. The size is very impressive without over doing it. The b&w dial is my favourite part. The stenciled numbers look the business in white and that blends well with the white date window and white logo. And it´s a chrono which IMO is THE most essential Breitling feature!!! I do like the Steelfish (which is why I initially proposed you should keep) and if they´d make it with a white dial I would already own one to accompany my AS.

Which dial color? Did you get it with leather or bracelet? My wife got me a few weeks back, as a birthday present, a black leather strap with tang and white stitching. I´m a great believer in, that most Breitlings should be worn with bracelets as those guys make the best bracelets in the business with very distinctive style. And I do like the AS more with it, but it´s been great to have that variability. It transforms the watch and the overall look is very different. Less tool and flashy, more stylish and understated. It´s like having two watches.
