Are the gifts a distributor by distributor thing? In other words BUSA would understand that a greedy American such as I might require perks to buy their watches?

Yes.

The gifts come from distributors, so depends on their policy.

What if I get in contact with Breitling and send them a serial number and date of purchase.
Is that possible too.

It depends on which 'Breitling' that you get in touch with, as I said it's done on a country by country basis.

Why is that so complicatet,it seems just like You must have to beg to get Breitling addvertising stuff.
It would be allot easiyer to send just a proof of purchase and addres to breitling and wait.
The watches aren't so cheap to beg for gifts.

They technically should pass it along, however, I have had to inquire with one AD numerous times before they sent mine in for one of my past watches.

The paperwork for every new Breitling comes with a registration card and a pre-paid envelope. The model and serial # are stamped on the card. The AD is supposed to fill out the info - buyer's name/address, email, date of purchase, salesperson's name - and mail it in. Sometimes they leave it in the paperwork you get and you can fill it out yourself and mail it. Just make sure you ask the AD if they are sending in the registration.

It takes a couple weeks to get entered in the distributor's system (in the US it's BUSA). But it is very important because the serial # will be matched to your info and the date of purchase stored as well. If you lose the warranty book, BUSA can still do warranty work so long as the watch is in the system. The gifts are secondary and are tiggered by the registration card.

The 8 nights of Breitling Chanukah continues.... I received two more gifts today. A used, scratched breitling pen and a Breitling Swiss Army knife that looks like a toy. I need a Breitling magnifying glass now just to see the knife.

Quit whining and put the pen where it belongs - on your key chain where mine is.

You never know when it could come in handy. Imagine what McGuyver could have done with one of those b

Full size??? That thing wouldn't be full size for a midget. Although one could fit in the gigantic body bag they sent me last week.
