I'm at my AD. Just a Saturday browse. And what to my wondering eyes should appear in the Omega display? A new discontinued "Great White"GMT. What are the odds? Being sized as I type. Woo hoo!

Nope, his wife hated the Great White so he decided to sell it. I suggested he sell the wife, but eventually she came around and he kept both.

I have been hunting the Forums for one, but what was available was in pretty bad shape.

It has the oddest movement though. There is no quickset date, but there is an individually moving HOUR hand to set the date -- and bi-directional at that. Setting the GMT hand is really convoluted. It moves with the hour/minute hands and you have to set it to GMT, then use he independent hour hand adjustment to set the correct local hour. Then set the date back a day with the hour hand adjustment. THEN adjust the hour/minute 24 hours to the correct date and time(AM v. PM). Strange.

Nevrtheless I love this odd little watch. Pics will come but I got a new laptop and haven't reinstalled the Canon software yet.

This is the best post I have read on here! I dont think anyone has posted from their AD while buying a new watch. The only way to top this post would have it be a Breitling!
