I was price shopping locally and got a 'deal' on the superocean heritage for $2800+tax (rubber strap). Is that a good deal? I have no idea and I don't know if i am being tricked

the $2800 includes the watch, strap and clasp, which i thought retailed for around 3500

Jefferson is correct, 13% isn't a great discount.

I wouldn't say you were "tricked", but assuming you live in North America, you should be able to do a little better. I would try for something in the 25-30% range.

Retail is $3115 for the head, plus $480 for the strap and clasp, so about $3,600 in the US or CAN, so sounds to me like you are getting about 22%, not great, but not too bad.

SOH 46 on rubber with deployant clasp is $3525. Thats about 21% off which is a reasonable deal. You can definitely do a bit better if you shop around (or renegotiate), but its a pretty decent deal.

I picked up my SOH on black OR cheaper then that. No tax. PM Jnelson. My local AD tried to charge me 3500 I laughed and walked out.
