Hi guys & gals, this is my first post so please go easy on me!

I've been collecting watches for several years now, and have always liked the Aerospace (until I can afford to like a gold Chronomat Evo!). I have been holding out for the new version, and the first one I spotted in a local AD was marked down to £1350 from £2700!

Now all of the other local AD's were (and probably still are) displaying the old model, so I was a bit taken aback that it was so heavily reduced..... for about 30 seconds, then I whipped out my bank card faster than Victoria Beckham at a shoe sale, and made my way home grinning all the way.

I just wanted to know from some guys IN the know, if this was such a good deal?
Its Dated 2009, patterned face in Stratus silver and Titanium Pro 2 bracelet.

Thanks in advance for your input!

Hi and welcome aboard!

If it's brand new, then I'd say it's a damn good price, especially in the UK from an AD. Post us up a few pics!

Sounds like a fantastic deal, and it's a great watch!

I read posts from people who've had their Aerospace for 10, 12 years, and still love it!

Now...let's see some photos!

Congrats!

That's good mate !

Most I've been able to get a UK based AD to discount is 25% !

Seen a couple of post now where an AD had a sale and 50% has been cut but they are few and far between and I've never been that luckly so would say you done very well with that deal.

Even found one AD who had ex-display/pre-owned with only 20% and wouldn't budge a penny more.

Great watch and great deal... Enjoy :-)

I think what happend was that they meant to reduce the old model by 50%, and some genius slapped a sale tag on the brand new version! Guess it was just a case of right place at the right time, if you'll excuse the pun.

After reading several other posts on this forum about the Aerospace's water resistance though (or lack of it!), I'm seriously considering covering my mouth with my other hand when I sneeze!

Is it really that bad?

Also, should I have received some kind of registration papers to send off to Breitling?

Thanks again

I think you're talking about one specific example from one member on here about the lack of water resistance. It seems that guy has been unlucky, but as long as you remember the Aerospace isn't a dive watch you'll be fine. Hand washing, sneezing, sweating on it, etc, should never cause a problem.

If you are UK based, then no there won't be anything to register the watch. BUK don't bother with it, whereas BUSA do...... and then provide you with a nice hat for doing so. No such thing in the UK unless you buy an Emergency (and even then you aren't guaranteed a hat!)
