...the delivery room! Yeah baby! LOL!

Anyway, my third child, and first son, was born this morning. I had planned to be in the delivery room with my Airwolf, and it came in quite handy before we headed out of our house during the middle of the night. I used the bezel to mark the time between my wife's contractions and the chronograph to time the duration of those contractions. Once we confirmed that she's in labor, off to the hospital we went.

I was thinking that it would be cool to pass down this watch to my son someday, if he shows any interest in watches, and that was the main reason I wanted to have it on when he is born. Maybe I'm overly geeky, but I know I'd love to have the watch that my dad wore when I came into this world. Hopefully the SuperQuartz will last long enough for that. 8)

Anyway, a couple of shots to mark the occasion

Congrats Dad, and I don't think handing down an heirloom is geeky. :cigar2:

CONGRATS!

That's funny because I would do the same thing(taking a picture of my son and watch) and my Fiancee would say, "Are you serious right now, your really taking a picture of your watch after we just had a child born!"? lol

GOOD MAN! :lingsrock:

Women dont understand these things. The picture will make a huge memory and when the little guy gets abit older around the 18 or 21 - if the watch is still in decent condition, theres no way he wont want it. I got some bad news for you GX- youve just done yourself out of a watch!

Good luck to you and your wife on the new baby, may he grow up to love Breitlings like the rest of us lol ... oh yeah ... and hopefully he becomes a success and stuff like that! :lingsrock:

Congratulations, and agree that photo is going to make your son want that watch at a very early age!

Great post! Congratulations. The watch idea is unique, sure your son will take that off your hands before you know it - time will fly by. You may as well start looking to replace it now
Best wishes to your family.

Hey thanks guys!

I'm beginning to realize that I've made a big mistake...because I'm not ready to give up the Airwolf yet...

He's been a good boy during the first day and night, so things are looking pretty good.

Thanks for the well wishes again!

Ha ha i have three sons all round about the forty yr age, so when after 50 years waiting for my my first Breitling i bought my new SA  on the last day of Dec 2009 :santa: .....then i thought i wonder which son will be the first to claim it after im gone........or would i indeed have another two Lings to buy???
No need to worry ......not one of the three wears a watch (how unusual is that) so it looks like one excuse to buy another Ling has gone..........
