What could possibly be in this old box? From what year could it be? Any guesses?
 :?:

There's a chance that it could be the same as in this one......

The box is a Wakmann, and the content in mine was from 1966.

I was thinking 1966 too but with a Breitling/Wakmann box inside with a Navitimer in it.

Braver men than me. I was only prepared to commit to 'mid 60s'.

Knowing chronomania's love for calendars I'm thinking that whatever is inside is Valjoux 72C powered.

What? You guys didn't want to play anymore? :nana:

Serial 97XXXX 1964 would be the year! In near mint condition and fresh from a complete overhaul (the first overhaul ever for this old girl).

Very nice! So does the box say Wakmann on the inside or Breitling?

Gorgeous. With the rarer AOPA wings which I believe means it was sold through them to their members.

It dosen't get much better, the dial is simply gorgeous.

It was only made with that bezel in 1964, second from the top.
