Quite like the new style SO, could be a tad small for you tho m8!

:yeahthat

I really like the look of it. I was considering buying one, so I went and tried on the old-style SO (same case and bracelet size) - wears too small for my tastes unfortunately, even though I have a small wrist and something like a Speedy Pro, which is nominally the same size, wears well for me.

I guess it's possible that the more modern look (smoother bezel etc) might make it appear a bit larger on the wrist than the old SO, but even so I think it will be far too small to keep me happy.

I do :poke: :nana:

I bow to Roffs better knowledge of the moderators control panel! I've only split entire threads before, not single posts. (But then with nearly 10k posts to his name you'd hope he picked something up! ) Cheers Roff.

Anyway, sorry for the off-topic post. Back to the new SO. The size and the rubber bezel are definite points against the new SO in my book. BUT I do think it's a nice design : at least in the publicity shots. I've yet to see one in person so can't make a proper judgement until then.

Yeah I think one of the previous threads had $2,695 so definitely in that ballpark.

It's definately very sporty now...I think it would look better on a brushed bracelet though, being as sporty as it is.

I think it´s a cool piece, very sporty and youthful. Another new design that´s sure to bring a lot of newcomers to the brand.

It seems B´s on a mission to really differentiate models more clearly. I´ve critisized before that most models look too alike. I want another Ling, but I´ve had a hard time justifying a too similarly styled piece. To acompany my AS I would´nt have bought an SO or a Chronomat. (Even though I do like them alot). But now with the B01 and SOII they could be possibilities.

I really like the SOII:s with the yellow insert and the white insert. Can´t wait see them in the wild.

Those are the two that im torn on. Im also trying to decide between bracelet, DPII tang, and DPII with deploy. I think im leaning toward the cheap-o route of DPII tang.

If you can swing the DPII with the deployment, get it!

Really nice clasp, for me, it somehow finishes the watch, having a deploy instead of a tang buckle. Also, the deploy has holes which allow for easily making small adjustments to the size, moreso then with a tang.

My 2cents...

The deployment is the best. Really cool to be able to cinch the strap after it's on your wrist.

What is the ETA on these from George? I got my last Ling form George and he was great and looking to get my Best Man in my wedding this watch and was curious to know how far ahead I have to order it. :lingsrock:

Thanks

I tried this on today at my AD and I agree with some prior posts that it should be 44 or 45 mm. It's a nice looking sporty watch but I think $3,000 is a bit pricey. It initially struck me as a Rolex copy but after closer examination it's actually very nice, the different color combos are also a cool benefit.
