At ten this morning, there was a knock on the door, and to my great joy it turned out to be FedEx, with my long (well, it seemed long) overdue Airwolf Raven!

LOVE the watch!

I do have a quick question... I've gone through the manual (was fortunate to even find a downloadable PDF version for the computer, thanks to another Airwolf owner who generously offered to share a version he created), and was able to pretty easily set up everything.

However, under the section which discribes how to set up the audible confirmation signals, one of the choices is to press lower pusher, until P-H appears. This option sets the watch so that "audible confirmation each time pushpieces are pressed + hour pips".

I'd assume "hour pip" means that the watch would beep, or make a sound, hourly, but while wearing the watch this afternoon, with it set to that setting, I don't recall hearing any hourly chime/beep?

Am I incorrect about the meaning of "hour pip"? If so, can someone tell me what hour pips ARE???

Sorry if I'm displaying my ignorance... 1st Breitling watch!

I am so jazzed to finally have a Breitling! I've been browsing this forums and others for Brietling for a while, lusting after numerous models!

By the way, setting up the Airwolf was overall a piece of cake! Synced the watch to an online site that gives atomic time, set the alarm several times during the day without really needing the manual, set up UTC time... the ONLY thing that's got me somewhat confused is hour pip!

Thanks in advance!

Shel

(Never mind. Happened to have the Airwolf near my ear, right on the hour, and the watch does chirp. Not very loud, won't hear it most of the time, but that's alright. The alarm is loud enough to be very useful!)

Sometimes the chirps get muffled a bit if the caseback is tight against your wrist. The Airwolf is a really easy watch to use and it's got stunning SuperQuartz accuracy! It will be second nature in no time.

Glad it finally arrived. Would love to see some pics! :lingsrock:

Willows, thought you'd never ask!

Thanks for the kind words, I've been browsing this and other Breitling forums for months, trying to decide if I should get a Breitling, and if so, which one. I'm really happy with my choice for a 1st B!

Sorry for the quality of the photos... you don't realize how hard it is to take a good photo of a watch.
