Dumb question...

I've got a Chrono Colt Quartz I got in late 2001, I've had the battery changed a couple of times since then but was wondering if I need to send it in for a proper service like I would with a mechanical or whether that stuff would have been taken care of during the battery change?

Nice video! Looks like I'm a bit overdue for a service then...

Lots of men in white coats in that video so I'm guessing it is pricey.

Anyone have a rough estimate for that kind of treatment, providing nothing is wrong?

I was also impressed after watching the repair procedure for the mechanical chronographs http://www.breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/v ... php?t=1593 however was a bit surprised when I asked my AD dealer about the length of time it will take to have my watch overhauled. I was told it would take about a week or two depending on how busy the resident watchmaker / watch repair tech. and that the work is done on site by their certified tech. From what I can see there is absolutely no way he would be able to perform the level of service presented in the video in his 4X4 work space.

I will be dropping the watch off to Breitling's repair center here in Ontario, Canada directly and will ask about the overhaul procedure then.

All,

Just want to follow up on this post . Got confirmation from Breitling Service (here in Canada) that every Breitling that is overhauled in their service centre goes through this process. It is a requirement by Breitling that they must adhere to.

Now that is money well spent

I cant believe that I questioned it to begin with

oh yes, on top of that you get 2 years warranty on service directly relating to the performance of the watch ie. running too fast or slow.
