Some of you may remember me posting some time ago about replicas, one of which I have to admit I bought as a real one was way out of my price range.

I've always wanted a Breitling, both because they look fantastic and because I remember my old man having one when I was younger.

Well, I was left some money recently and have just bought a Colt Transocean. I know it's not the greatest Breitling in the world but, it's mine!

It has the original dealers receipt along with the certificate and all other manuals, original box and the extra links. Just had the battery changed and I can't wait to receive it.

I'm 99.9% convinced it's real, the seller seems very genuine. So, just saying hello and posting some pics. If anyone has any doubts about its authenticity, keep them to yourself  No actually, please tell me because I don't pay for it till early next week :)

Looks good to me! My first Breitling was a Chrono Colt Quartz back in November '01 and the box and documents all look identical. The bezel on mine looks a bit different but that could be a difference in the models!

Welcome to the club! You'll be hankering for another soon, come to the US they are cheaper here

Hey Danny, that's a great watch and please never feel you need to apologise for a Breitling! They are all awesome and there is never any model snobbery on here. (We only accept brand snobbery here - i.e. Breitlings Rock, other brands suck!!  No, seriously that's a great piece and I hope you enjoy it).

Bollocks! It's yours. It IS the greatest Breitling in the world :D

Welcome to the gang Danny.

My first Breitling was a vintage Chrono Shark Quartz which has the same B53 movement. Great watch which I'll never part with.

Enjoy your Breit and wear with pride!

Well, my watch is on its way, Pre 9am delivery. Unfortunately that means that I'm going to have to partake in copious amounts of wine this evening in order to get to sleep.

:) I've already ordered some Cape Cod cloths which will hopefully be delivered tomorrow as well so I can give it a good polish when it arrives. Hopefully then it won't need a trip to an AD for a proper machine polish. Don't think I could be without it for however long that takes :)

Well, I've received my watch and I'm absolutely made up! Already experienced some Breitling service as well. Took the watch to get a couple more links put in and was given some coffee while they did it on the house. Was impressed with the service.

only problem is, think I've had one too many put in so I'll probably take one out when I get home.

Anyway, I love it and will take some pics when I've polished the bracelet and I'm near my camera :)

Great watch. You'll be amazed at how well cape cod cloths work. Wear your watch in good health.

I just love "hearing" the excitement when someone gets a new Breitling. You can't hide your tone, even on a message board. That's awesome, congrats.

You may not need to remove a link depending on the clasp. The fine-adjustment in the clasp is just a springbar adjustment, so it's easy to move yourself. I was in-between links (three removed was too many, two was too few) myself, but was able to use that clasp adjustment for a perfect fit. I'm sure you'll be able to find the right combination too.

Now, show us some more pics!

you're right! after I posted I took a closer look and moved the micro adjustment a couple of spaces, happy with the fit now. Tried to take some pictures with my iPhone but they don't do it justice so you'll have to wait for more! Can't stop looking at it however
