So, I just moved to Chicago last week and decided to take a stroll and look at some watches. Well, my impulse got the best of me and I couldn't leave without something...

I've been lusting after this model for awhile and while I know I could have gotten a better deal, there is nothing like walking out of an AD with a brand-new watch on your wrist :)

Thoughts?

very nice. now i'll have to put mine on black. I usually wear it on the bracelet, but the "gold" croco from time to time.

If you like it I love it! Great looking watch! That's a pretty good impulse buy if I do say so myself!

Tourneu unfortunately. I got a decent deal but not as good as I could have gotten from Govberg, but was in the heat of the moment and couldn't wait.

Where else in Chicago do you recommend? Tourneu is a horrid experience.

Simply stunning, I have a thing for silver dial 'complicated' Navi's and intend to add one of those to my collection at some point!

Nice Catch - Enjoy It In Good Health!

Tourneau Is A Horrid Expeirence! I Think That It Is Required To Have A Stick Up - You Know Where To Work There! lmao

I Really Hate Tourneau!

However, Tourneau in Atlantic City, NJ Is A Real Pleasure To Buy From & The Manager Mae Is A Darling! I Live In NYC And I May Go To Different Tourneau's Just To See A Watch Or To See The Pre-Owned List - But When Buying A Watch I Go To Tourneau In Atlantic City Or I Make The Puchase Over The Phone & They UPS Me The Watch.

Tourneau Atlantic City, NJ Moreover Mae Rocks!

Best Regards,

Enezdez

Funny, I've been there a few times. Who did you talk to there? I've been there and talked to Jenny (think that's her name but I don't have her card in my hand). There are a few Marshall Peirce and Co's in the city but they have limited hours. They actually have a pretty extensive selection of both Breitling and non-Breitling watches.

Not sure about the burbs. Never heard/saw anything that made it "worth the trip" in my mind.

Yeah, I Jenny is who I dealt with. Not the brightest around and doesn't seem to know too much about watches. Oh well.

Govberg is the best route by far.

Agreed. Her explanation of the co-axial movement in the PO was poor at best and her general opinion of Breitlings seemed to be low.

There was almost a disdain in her voice for some of the bigger models ( World, Super Avenger, and even the Blackbird!).

Again, congrats on the piece. It's a beautiful one!

Also, welcome to Chicago
