A little background first. I've wanted a Breitling for years and was able to realize that dream last June by purchasing my beautiful polished Chronomat with a black face and silver dials (love it!). I had originally wanted a Blackbird but had a hard time finding a polished one locally and the extra price over the Chronomat wasn't worth it to me at the time.

Fast forward last week, Im browsing the forums and see the 2010s were announced, high tailed it over to the Breitling website and see a limited edition Blackbird in blacksteel. Oh. My. God.

I initially thought it would be way too expensive since it was a limited but I thought Id head over to my AD cause it cant hurt to ask. Well, the price was pretty damn good for how badly I want one, so I put my deposit down this afternoon and skipped all the way back to my car. Heres hoping they can even get me one of the 2000 made!!!

Totally not the time for me to buy a 3rd Breitling, we just about a new house today...when will this end lol

A 2006 BB was my first B and I love it. Today, I had to drop by my AD to get a replacement screw installed for my north rider tab. The first thing he did was hand me a new blue dial Blackbird that had just arrive this morning. I wish that I was rich enough to buy 2 in one week. At least I got to hold it for a little while. To make matters worse, they have a Blacksteel on the way.

I have my fingers crossed for you. If it's anything like the BlueBird that I saw today, more than likely better, I bet your gonna be extremely happy.

I don't, but Breitling has a picture of it on the Windrider->Blackbird page. It looks much better in person. They call it blackeye blue.

Hey Sharkman, while I personally think the Blackbird should always have a pure black dial (and a brushed case of course  ), I just wanted to say that I do think the "black-eye blue" dials are very beautiful and striking.
