no offence...but why do people shower with a expensive watch on? Seems kinda foolish to me.

Hi All!

I shower with my Seawolf & miss it when I am in the shower without it. I like to know what time it is while showering!
The only time that I dont have it on is when I am wearing a Navitimer.

Best Regards,

Enezdez

Easy - because I can. :)

No, but seriously, if the watch is built for it I just don't see a point in removing the watch. My showers are normally around 35-40C so not overly hot and regular water pressure. We're not taking about a geyser from a fireman's hose here.

Edit: It's also a good opportunity to rinse the everyday sweat off...

I am really glad I made that comment and I agree they should be able to handle it. We needed a heated discussion here and haven't had one for a while and I knew the reaction it would draw. I've showered with my watches but I prefer to clean my watches with a very soft brush and soap as I feel it's the only way to get the dirt between the links and hard to get areas.

If my shower used distilled water...I might...but it doesn't, so I don't.

If distilled water and a soft brush can't remove something, I use a cleaner called Caribbean Gem. As strange as this sounds, it's made of banana and coconut oils and works great. It's non-toxic, ammonia-free, alcohol-free, and it contains no acids.

Good God, are you people serious? Do you just keep your watches in a case and stare at them all day?

Yeah, I keep my Super Avenger BlackSteel, Montbrillant Olympus and Hamilton Jazzmaster in a case and stare at them (not all day).
The only Breitling I use is the Skyland, and soon it will be in a case too cause I'm going to use the Superocean II.
