I removed it already 2times and changes the strap to a bracelet and had a look , a look , even with a magnifying glass.
On my one is NO number between the lugs !

BAMBAM,

I have an 09 SS Seawolf. The serial number is on back just below the model number and between the 6 o'clock lugs is the manufacture date 2708 B5. I don't know what the B5 means.

I called the german main distributor and they had one there also without stamp between the lugs.
I am working on it to get further details.

As stated it is the colour code for the dial.

@BAMBAM - can we just see some pictures please - this is really odd.

I can't help on the SW, but the date/dial codes on my 2010 Aerospace are MUCH smaller and shallower than those on my 2006 Blackbird. At first, I thought it wasn't there. I had to turn so that the light hit it just right and I darn near needed a loupe to see it. I did need one to actually read it.

I don't want to sidetrack the thread, but while we're waiting for photos, there was one strange thing on my new Aerospace that may be date related. The barcode sticker that was on the case's quality control cover shows the serial number followed by "/APR 2011". I'm not sure what to make of that unless it was a typo or that isn't a year.
