It needs to get service attention asap so whichever will get it there quickest. If your AD is a service centre that's likely the best route, if not then see if they have a courier system with BUK for speed, if not send it yourself - and phone BUK to say that it's coming - the longer that there is water in there the worse the damage will get.

Obviously they also need to establish how / where the water got in and address that issue.

I shower with mine as the most convenient (& somewhat thorough) way of keeping it clean. The SA is rated for 300m -- I've sweated in it, swam with it, dived to 12m, and of course showered -- with zero harm. Hard to imagine how I can enjoy my watch if I have to baby it? Especially when it's new and still have the 2 year factory warranty, ya know?

I'd have to agree with you on this. I know what my watches are built for but I have no desire to get them wet wether it's bathing, diving or even the rain. I'm more at peace knowing that it holds it's own against water but doesn't bathing in it do more harm them good at least appearance wise? Soap scum, water spots, etc? Just my opinion.

babying a watch and simply removing it for a shower are too totaly different things. Hot water under pressure and watches may not mix well...cae in point.

I'll watch this one with interest, Breitling can be quite keen to blame the consumer in water ingress cases. Hopefully it'll be proven manufacturing defect

I had a similar experience a few years back from Raymond Weil. They were insistant that it was my fault and I had to pay for the repairs even though they were just in the watch for repairs. :guns:

Is that why there are many threads about "what am I going to do? my crystal is scratched"? I've have not heard anyone respond with "Don't worry about the scratch...be a man" . Everyone replies "you need to replace it!"

and "f"me? Is that what you are implying? lighten up!!!
