Hey Guys,

for some reason I've become allergic to my watch!

On the underside of my wrist where the clasp ties....it keeps getting red and really itchy.

I wear Breitling Super Avengers with stainless steel bracelet.

I've been wearing Super Avengers for 2 years....infact I've been wearing stainless watches for 18 years and never had a problem.

It started about a month ago so I stopped wearing my watch for a couple of weeks so it would clear up.

I hope there is a cure....I'd be gutted if I can't wear my watches!

Today I wore my watch for 6 hours and this is a pic of my wrist..

Hi!

It's due to moister - sweat & water if you shower with it along with the climate (heat). Do you sleep with the watch and never take it off?
The skin needs to breath - you have created a hot-spot on your wrist! I would put some ant-septic cream on thst wrist when not wearing the watch! And in addition start giving your wrist some time off without a watch until it heals. Also check that the watch is not to tight on your wrist.

Bottom Line Don't Wear Your Watch To Bed & If You Shower With It Take It Off & Dry It Off, As-well As Your Arm Before Putting It Back On!

Hope This Helps!

Best Regards,

Enezdez

contact dermatitis, you need an anti fungal cream. its not flaring up you put the watch on and sweat, but its always there. see your dr, get some cream, us it for a couple weeks and wear your watch on your other hand and it will be fine.

happened to me.

exactly - contact dermatitis - not an allergy. Easily resolved. Using a fragrence free, simple moisturizer will help as well. Try Lubraderm or Curel - the same stuff recommended for tat aftercare. Rub some in after showering - don't slather it on.

Try switching your watch to your other wrist, so you can wear your watch in the meantime.

You could have developed an allergy to nickel, which is a component in stainless steel. However, I'd be more inclined to think it's a fungus if this only happens in a particular area of your wrist.

Oh I can relate as well. Being left handed I wore watches on my right wrist until I started acquiring Breitlings and decided a nice watch ought not be worn "backwards." Fortunately it only took about a week until it felt "normal."

An old trick for curing a reaction to metal contact such as a watch to a wrist, was to coat the back of the watch with clear nail varnish..........invisible to the eye but a barrier to the allergy

All are correct, contact dermatitis aggrevated by moisture. Try loosening your bracelet 1 micro adjustment to allow a little more play and ability for the skin to dry. In the meantime a little over the counter hydorcortisone cream for a few days will clear the rash. Cortaid 10 is the strongest OTC.

I seen my doctor today....

He called it a "nickel allergy"

I got some cream to sort it out.....but he said i could have trouble with this forever

I love my Super Avenger on Pro2 bracelet and dont want to fit a different strap....

So as the irritation seems to be at the deployment position on my wrist i was thinking...

Maybe i can get my deployment rhodium plated or something??

Or trade my watch for a Blacksteel Super Avenger
