Great looking pam....the fiddy would be one of my personal grails but the 47mm is crazy big on my 6.75 wrist. I wish i could pull it off because id be all over that.

I thought Richemont had stopped RXW etc making homages with the trademarked MM on the dial or the Panerai crown guard.

Is this no longer the case?

It's not a replica, it's an homage. OK?!

I'll be honest, but I struggle a little with homage pieces that so closely match the original, but it's a great looking thing and without the Panerai name it's not technically pretending to be something it isn't. And it's a fraction of the price of a 270.

Yeah the Fiddy is the 127 - I was just quoting a 270 as it's got the same "original" (i.e. domed crystal) 1950's shaped case, and is one of the most expensive non-limited models Panerai do. Oh and I want one (a 270 that is!).

Come to think of it though, the 127 is 47mm, and the 270 is 44mm....... hmmmmmmm, ok, so my 270 example was a crap one! Oops!

I'd have a 270 if the dial weren't so busy and it was GMT-less. One of the appeals of Panerai to me are the clean dials. If I want a busy dial, I'll wear a Navitimer :lingsrock:

I just wanted to take the oportunity to give Driver8 a hard time :) He doesnt make many mistakes on here. The 127 would be the Grail PAM for me....followed by the 249. The homage could be as close as I ever get. Nice find.

Both are nice watches but I dont really dig the whole manual wind thing; its cool in the begining but after a while..

I had a 111 and quickly got tired of it... :D
