Thinking of picking up a nato strap for the SOH. Good idea or bad idea? Any recommendations on where to buy? Anyone have pictures of this? Thanks

Never thought if that combination but now I am intrigued to see how it would look.

I will try it out when i get home with one of the 22mm Natos i have.

No middle ground with that set up though i fear.

It'll either be brilliant or terrible.

Nick.

I have mixed feelings about the nato, so to see it would be great in making a final decision. Please post some pictures.

Ok. I tried the SOH on a black Nato, and wasn't blown away.

Tried it on an Olive Drab Nato with black fittings, and thought it looked GREAT.

Then i went to try and find the family camera, and no joy.

Will keep looking, but, if you're thinking of going for a Nato on the SOH, I would say
go for it.

Nick

Here are some (poor) pics to help you with your decision. This is with a 22mm Nato though, so it doesn't fit as it should.

I think that black watch on olive nato really looks good. Military. Tough.

Enjoy.

Peace

I find myself struggling with Natos. I'm just not very much into them, feel they are a little bit flimsy and also many of them look a bit cheap in my opinion. A bit strange as I otherwise am very happy to experiment a lot with leather straps.

However, that shouldn't stop anyone who likes them from wearing them. :)

I took Rick's advice and picked up one off the bay, black and gray bond style. Not sure about the quality but it has a money back guarantee so I am not too worried. It should be here the next couple of days, I will post pictures when it comes.

I'm not a big fan of NATOs, but I don't think they would be a mismatch with the SOH if you like them.

I wondered about how they would work with such a big heavy watch head, but my Kobold arrived on one and it seemed to support the watch just fine (although I took it off immediately).

Got the strap today. I kinda like it. For $20 it is a fun little strap. The design of the strap tends to hold in the heavy head better than I expected. I am also not used to having a strap this thin, but it is comfortable. Here is a really poor picture taken with my web cam.

Interesting look. Takes some getting used to, but i'm warming up to it. BTW, good color choice IMO.
