I had a guy comment on my new B01...asked me if it was an Invicta

Am I a watch snob for wanting to punch him? :)

I realised many, many years ago that 99.9% of people have zero knowledge of high end watches (other than Rolex). To them, spending more than $50 on a watch is ridiculous. You can't win so just smile and move on.

At least you've got a place here where people understand!

A guy I play golf with told me "Nice watch.." He asked how much it cost (not rude, we're cool like that)..I was like what do you think? He said "probably expensive. Id guess 275" (dollars). lol.. I was just like "no, quite a bit more."

I've had people tell me my SA isn't a real breitling same as they have told me my pet piranha isn't a piranha, so i say what should it look like then and they say "i don't know" lol
Then i explain it is real because you can't hear a fake breitling tick :nana:

:yeahthat or maybe Omegas too.

I often have the remark "oh, very nice watch, what is it? Must be expensive!" And when I reply, "It's a Breitling" a few ask again "Oh, the pilots' watch?"

I remember at an event, not too long ago, someone was wearing an over-sized Invicta (I think it was something like 60mm....pure SH_T) and he thought he had the nicest watch on the planet  He had his sleeves rolled up so everyone can notice and flaunted the thing all over the place.
I went beside him and politely told him "Nice watch". ....just to start a conversation :D

He then asked me what I was wearing; he couldn't see because my sleeve was covering my wrist... So I told him a Breitling (my TT Evo), he wanted to see....I showed it to him and he said....
"that's a watch my grandfather used to wear...too damn tiny"....

I replied: "YOU are right" ...

I made him feel special that night...and didn't waste my time with him.....And continued admiring everyone else's watches :D
