2+ months ago, on advice from forum members, I swapped my 1945 rose gold Breitling Premier for a Breitling Shark. I made the swap with Neil, the owner of the chronomaster website (http://www.chronomaster.co.uk). For one month Neil waited while the Premier cleared British customs and for the next month I waited for the US Postal Service to flex its incompetence by failing to inform me the watch had actually arrived, and then telling me they could not track it with a British Royal Mail tracking number. Two days ago I got the USPS to figure out they are Royal F-ups and finally got my watch.
The watch came in its original packaging with original manual and paperwork showing it had a complete overhaul and service by BUK in 2007!
My sincere thanks to the members of this forum (Rof, Paul, et al) who advised me to pursue this swap. Also, Neil at Chronomaster is a real prince - I'll post about him seperately. Here is the watch (the good images are borrowed from http://www.chronomaster.co.uk/breitling.htm)

This Shark was traded for this:

Anyway, I couldn't be happier with the deal. Neil sold my Premier at a higher price then the Shark was listed for, so he made a nice profit which made me happy since he was kind enough to agree to the swap. This makes Breitling #3 in the 5 or so months since I joined the BS forum! :lingsrock:

Very nice watch. I could use a history lesson here. When was the Shark produced? What model replaced the Shark? Quite an outstanding looking sports watch IMO.

All I know is these were made in the early 90's. I'm sure some of the experts on the forum will enlighten us on the history of these guys. :D

The Shark had a relatively short lifespan between 1991 and 1995, replacing the J-Class and being superseded in by the Colt. The dial on yours indicates it's from 1995.

Here's my Chrono Shark Quartz
