I love the Bentleys, but only 2 models are suitable for my wrist - GT and Mark VI. I have the GT and am enjoying it. But the Mark VI has that ridiculous platinum bezel that seems to serve no purpose other than to rocket the price into the stratosphere. Won't the bezel be particularly sensative to dings?

My AD can't sell the Mark VI. Really a shame as it is a beauty and at 42mm a wearable watch for most.

Valid question, but you don't need to worry about it.

You have a GT - so you already have the best Breitling for Bentley!

950 platinum (which is generally the grade used in watchmaking) is harder than gold, but it is still softer than steel, so yes it would be a little more prone to damage than an SS bezel. Roff has one of these, so I'm sure he can give first hand experience of what it's like to live with.

Personally I totally agree that the platinum bezel serve no purpose whatsoever as it essentially looks like steel, but with a huge price tag.

The bezel on my Complications 19 is still mint, but this isn't a watch that I wear every day (although it is on my wrist as I type this). The idea of the platinum bezel is complete lunacy and I only bought the watch because I got an incredible deal.

The bezel is pretty well protected - it sits lower than the crystal, is angled down towards the edge of the watch and sits inside the case and that likely helps.
