The fiancee has told me that if I want a new Breitling I have to sell one of my other toys! I've decided that my Cervelo cycle can go, but now I don't know what I want...

I've been craving an Avenger for some time. But after looking at the white face Navi World today, I'm second guessing my choice.
What are your opinions. Maybe even a completely different piece?

I can't do the SA.. my wrist is waaayy too small.

As for seawolf, I would definitely consider a seawolf. just not a seawolf chrono. not a quartz fanatic.

Haha yeah I guess you're right. She has no problem with me buying whatever it is I want, it's just that sometimes I get a few too many toys piled up..

Here, Here!

Seriously, the World and and Skyland are just 2 very different watches. Then there is about the $2000 price difference. The white dial with the blue number ring on the World is freaking stunning.

What Breitling(s) do you have?

IMHO always get the SS bracelet then throw in a nice croco strap. Take the Blackbird for example. Classic and shimmering with the Bracelet. Then I can put a brown croco on it and it's entirely different. Put a black croco - bam, another new watch. I just took the bracelet off my black dial Skyracer and put the black croco on it. Nice.

Get strappy!

Out of those two, I'd get the Avenger. However, I don't understand your comment on the SA about "my wrist is waaayy too small". The Avenger is 45.4 x 17.4 (diameter x thickness), the Navi World is 46 x 15.5, the SA is 48.4 x 18.6. Quite frankly, they're not that far from each other, especially if you compare the Avenger and SA.

I'm not sure which size are you more concerned about, but if it is the diameter, then try a Blackbird (43.7 x 17.2) on. It's a wonderful, understated "black on black" piece, but lately you can get it with all-polished look and with a blackeye blue dial as well. It looks stunning on the Pilot bracelet, but it can be dressed up with a nice croc strap, or dressed down for casual days with a wonderful Ocean Racer rubber strap. I wasn't considering the Blackbird or the Ocean Racer strap at all before, but when I've tried that combo on at my AD, it suddenly became very appealing to me.

Navi World all the way. I prefer the black face though, white face looks too plain imo. If you choose the avenger then I'd go white faced.

I can just barely wear an Avenger Skyland with my small wrists. But sadly not the World which I really wanted. It's not just the diameter that matters, because that's usually measured from 10 to 4. It's all about the length, not width of the case and the shape of the lugs. For instance, I can wear and do own the Heritage 46, because even though 46mm diameter (from 10 to 4) the shape of the lugs and how they slope dramatically allow it to nicely hug my writst. The only way to be sure is to see it on the wrist.

BTW you can get a Navi Daytora in white or black dial for the same price as the World and I'll bet $$ to donuts it fits you just fine.

I'm partial to the Blackbird suggestion. I love mine!

Have you given the chronomat a chance or a blackbird. These are classy pieces IMO. However if I am picking between the world and the avenger I say get the world. I would recommend the black dial, I find my recently acquired white face a little hard to read...there is a lot going on on that dial!

I am partial to the Windrider line, there is so much style and versatility there.....

Agreed on setting the tone with the lady early. I practically included 2 or 3 "guy trips" per year into my wedding vows, they are more important than an extra toy.....

GL with the search.......and the wedding too.

Hey thanks guys. Like shark said its not about the width, its the length that I can't pull off on the SA. The lugs just hang a little too far and almost surpass my wrist. For some reason, the case design on the Navi World wears really well on my wrist.

I never wanted a white face Navi, but I loved the idea of it after trying it on. I'm gonna put my bike up for auction this weekend online so hopefully next week I'll be getting a new watch!

Ive got a Skyland and a black dial Navi (regular model). If I could only keep one it would be the Skyland. Its my all-purpose watch and its pretty much on my wrist everywhere I go. The Navi comes out once in a while, but its just not the same feeling I get with the Skyland. The world is a different beast though. Its bigger and prettier, but I still dont think id like one as much as my Skyland.
