My watch seems to have made it to Australian shores and indeed it seems to have been held up in clearance or customs which is about 45 minutes away from where I live. Because I have never really had problems with customs before, does anyone in this forum come from Australia who has brought a watch over from the US and had it cleared through customs? I dont know what the procedure is, will they contact me? will they contact george to ask him what the price of the watch was? Its probably about the dutys that I will have to pay to get the watch cleared. Any advice will be useful.

G'day Ramps, I used to be a customs officer and this happens a fair bit. If it has come through the post then it may be getting held up waiting for you to complete a form and pay the duty/gst. I think watches are duty free from memory but you will have to pay gst on the price of the watch and the amount it cost to ship it here to Australia.
Customs will contact you and let you know what you have to do. It's unfortunate you have to pay money but that's the law and Customs just do their part on behalf of government.
There is no doubt an invoice in with the watch and the charges will be calculated on that.

Anyway, get on to it as soon as you can and show us some pics.

Cheers

Dave

Yes it can feel like that mate. Hope you get it soon. I sometimes import accessories for my rifles and it gets frustrating.

We are all awaiting your pics. :lingsrock:
