In my opinion deplyment is more comfortable. Im not going to shower with mine, but I did use leather conditioner on it before I wore it, seems to soften the leather.

I find Breitling straps, especially the calf, break in pretty quick for me. I usually curl them a little before I install them, and then (might sound a little weird) sleep with it on for a few nights initially, and it'll be broken in and comfortable in no time. I love Breitling straps and believe that they are some of the very best in the business. They seem to have sort of a semi-flexible core that begins to take on the shape of your wrist pretty quick.

For convenience, I'd go with a deployant as well. Only problem I noticed is that straps made for the single-fold Breitling deployant have more taper on the "long" end from the lug to the tip, and sometimes the look of this bugs me a little when I wear it. If you don't notice this, ignore this comment and you'll be happier and less obsessive than I. If you do notice it, you can do as I often do, and get one with a tang and swap it out for a good after-market butterfly deployant. That will be comfy, secure, and extend the life of the strap as well as cost less.

Cheers

Ross
