Good day, I live in Ontario Canada, I have a Pluton Navitimer 3100 Quartz watch & the digital portion of the watch no longer works - I brought it back to the place of purchase & they can not repair - I was hoping somebody on this site would be able to give me some ideas how I can have it repaired - Thank You

Usually the only option with these now is to replace the entire movement, and that's getting harder to do because the movement is obsolete so you generally have to find another watch as a 'donor'.

The movement is a Miyota Y652.

That's a safe assumption - it ended 14 hours ago :poke:

I appreciate the feedback - I guess now my focus will be on trying to find the Miyota Y652 movement

You can still send them to Breitling. I have a Navitimer 3300 with the same movement at BUSA right now. It's going to cost me $680 to get it back though but it will be like new. :|

No way I would give that seller $200 for one. He's been hawking it on most of the watch forums for a month and it's been on ebay twice. Matter of principle. The last one I bought cost me $35. Same thing. You just have to keep your eyes open for potential donors and havea good watch guy that can swap the movements for you. They're not exactly alike and the posts for the hands is shorter in the Pulsar than the Breitling. The hands will swap but it's a very tight fit.

That's good news - I didn't realise that they still had access to these movements.

Yes, that is very good news - as everybody you talk too states that Breitling no longer carries the movement - I was told that Breitling had a arrangement that if you send the Navitimer back - they will offer an Aerospace watch (no bracelet) for $1200 Canadian - I much prefer to have the Navitimer 3100 repaired

Not sure about the figures, but this is something that Breitling are starting to do with pieces that they can't support anymore - offering fairly decent discounts for trade against a current model. But if BUSA still has access to some NOS movements that's great news.

I sent a Breitling World timer (the one with the four individual movements) to BUSA last year and they said they didn't have the parts to repair and offered a 40% discount on anything in the catalog except 18k pieces. They will keep the unrepairable watch though.

Pretty sure that they will trash it, they just don't want to give the discount and then send the watch back for you to sell or then go to another national Breitling body for the same deal.

Given the prices of some of these non working early quartz Breitlings, if the discounts are going to tighten in the US this might actually be a good way to get a deal!
