They don’t actually expect us to start paying sales tax do they?

If these rules ever go into effect, I can think of several loopholes. Day flights to certain AD’s, friends buying for friends, on and on. If AD’s are hungry, they will bend the rules. I had one in Vegas offer to ship an empty box back to LA just to circumvent taxes. It just seems hard to enforce all of this. AD’s might not be so brazen with new customers, but I would think it would be business as usual for their established clientele.

I asked George today about this and he had not heard of BUSA doing this so as far as I'm aware, they'll still ship watches and help everyone save on sales tax.

Congratulations Skipcam - bought that same model and color from George last fall on Pro II. It can look a little "blingy" on the SS bracelet. The brown croc looks awesome!

As for stopping an ad like govberg from shipping that sucks!!! If that happens to be honest they probably lost me as a customer because my local ad treated my like complete garbage and I REFUSE to go back there even to look. I hope this doesn't happen.

With the changes that are coming to the AD landscape in the US I can't see how they will possibly be able to enforce this. There will be areas that are less well served / no longer served by Breitling ADs so it would seem nonsensical to restrict shipping across the board.

That said, I can see a two tier approach with some ADs being more restricted than others - Govberg is obviously at the top of Breitling ADs in the US as evidenced by all of the 'factory' events. Incidentally, BUSA bullied Grigoros (Canadian distributor) into not shipping to the US a couple of years ago, even though they are completely separate companies.

Great look on the Steelfish. This may sound silly, but for a completely different look, try the light brown("gold") strap, that's what I prefer on mine. Not sure what other ADs charge, but a calf strap from my AD is $125. Pricey for a watch strap I suppose but the smell alone of the new strap is worth $50 to me! Hey, if you can't enjoy a watch using at least 4 senses, you are missing out!

Well we progressed today, today I paid for my watch. George has been terrific to deal with- and I know I will be dealing with him again in the future. Im pretty excited and now just have to wait for my watch to arrive.
