It's not easy to arbitraily say whether a 2006 B-1 or a 2009 SF is worth more as there are a ton of variable to coinsider - condition and completeness of the set are just two of them.

The best way to get a "real wolrd view" is to check out completed listings on Ebay. If you want a true picture of current market value you need to make sure you only look at the green prices as they are the ones that actually sold. The ones in red didn't sell and therefore aren't really a reflection of actual value.

Hi Bob

You apear to be "comparing market price" for two absolutely different animals. I would be more inclined to consider which would be better value to be honest and then its down to taste. IMO the B1 is becoming a Breitling icon and they dont seem to change hands very often thus suggesting that they will hold their value very well.....the Steelfish is a lovely watch however, but there are more of these on the market as they are a current model therefore values may not hold up quite as well..............all of this is in my humble opinion though and it might be good for you to do a little research before making a final decision.

Steve

I would say the SteelFish is currently priced slightly above the B-1 simply because it's a newer watch.

If I had the choice of a B-1 or a SteelFish at the same price, I would definitely go for the B-1.

It may not have the iconic status of a Navitimer but it's an all time classic as opposed to simply being a very good watch.

And as Steve says, the B-1 will be much more likely to hold it's value.
