UPDATE:
I tried to take the advice offered here and ordered a new Diver Pro from my AD. They called me yesterday to report that BUSA replied that the Diver Pro is discontinued and they have no more in stock. BUSA recommended the Diver Pro II, but it is just a plain rubber strap and the price would be $135.

Since I want to put a rubber strap on my Old Navitimer, and can't get a new Diver Pro, I am sure I can find a generic decent quality rubber strap for far less than $135. Seiko makes a silicone rubber strap for about $15 that might work if it comes in 22mm.

However I really like the Diver Pro with the B-R-E-I-T-L-I-N-G molded into the rubber. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what AD's might still have available a genuine 22/20mm Diver Pro in black?

First that I've heard about it being discontinued, although I'm not particularly surprised. You should still be able to find them at ADs if you call a few.

I would try and find a dealer that has a watch with the correct width Diver Pro attached and ask to buy just the strap.

This is sometimes a problem over here in the UK due to lack of brand knowledge and they just refuse to sell the strap saying they can't get any replacements, or they're matched to the watch

Hopefully you're local dealer will ablige :)

George at Govberg checked with BUSA for me and confirmed that the Diver Pro strap is discontinued. I wanted a black 22/20mm and they are out of stock. I do not know if they have any other colors or sizes left.

The Diver Pro II is available, but it is a plain strap without the B-R-E-I-T-L-I-N-G letters.

If anyone stops by their AD, I would appreciate it if they would ask if the AD has a 22/20mm Black Diver Pro available. Please PM with the contact information if they do.

Thanks in advance.

I've found the fake Breitling rubber straps actually have almost a vanilla smell to them. And the replica shops sell them for about $100 and you can get a genuine from your AD for about $85 and it doesn't even smell like a vanilla scented Firestone. Odd that.

If you want rubber, go for the Diver Pro II which you can get new from your AD for $85. It's just a cleaner, classier look. It seemed to me the diver pro should have come with a Breitling helium baloon just in case anyone missed the "Breit" and "Ling."

IMHO, the Diver Pro II is a big improvement.

Could someone direct me or post a thread that goes deep into spotting fake rubber straps. I'm in the market to purchase one too. Thx

They are just not expensive enough to buy from a secondary market - use an AD.

I'm with you, Sharkman. The old model had just a little too much brand identity for my taste. Here's the new Diver Pro II on my Steelfish. $110 from my local AD, and well worth it.

No depth needed. If it's sold on ebay as brand new and "100% AUTHENTIC" in big bold letters, you can be 100% sure it's not. Visit a Breitling AD (or Omega for that matter) and examine their rubber straps up close. Once you've handled a quality strap, you won't have any trouble spotting a fake.

I knew the one I bought wasn't a genuine Diver Pro I the moment I took it out of the envelope. Pretty sure it was silicone, not as thick as the real deal, and the holes for the spring bars were irregular and very thin in places . . . sure to fail eventually. Breitlings are too expensive to put on a cheap strap. Buy the genuine article.

I just picked up the last 22mm and 24mm from george at govberg. You can easily tell the difference of a real vs. rep when you have them in hand. The real is a very firm rubber, and the fake is very very rubbery.
