Okay, guys, as promised, here are a few pix of my new Big Pilot.



As you can see, it fits perfectly on my 8.5-inch wrist.




Here's a shot of the entire family. The BP seems to fit in quite nicely. Oh, Driver, by the way, after almost ten days, the BP has gained about 12 seconds. I think it seems pretty accurate.

Don't worry, I won't get mad...actually, I think it's kind of funny. Most of the responses -- on this site as well as others -- have referred to the size of my wrists. Actually, I've lost 70 pounds in the last eight months and over an inch off my wrists...you should've seen them before .

I remember when I bought my first Breitling the jeweler said most guys he sells watches to would love to have my wrists.

Anyway, I've got 45 more pounds to lose -- maybe by then my wrists will look almost normal

Nice going Steve, and I've gotta agree with Altair - I've never seen a Big Pilot look small on someone's wrist.

Mine doesn't look huge on my 7.75" wrists.... but then it couldn't be described as looking small either! You take it to whole 'nother level Steve!



PS - And congrats on getting one with some almost spot on timekeeping! Wish mine was as accurate as that.

Thanks for the nice words. Actually, your BP looks fine on your wrist -- not too big, not too small.

On the accuracy front, my Big P, after two weeks, is gaining about 2 seconds a day -- maybe a tad over. But it consistently gains, never losies. Maybe it's because I wear it on my right arm. Anyway, I'd rather my watch gain a little daily rather than lose.

Anyway, gain or lose, it's my favorite watch. I'm just dreading the day it gets its first scratch.

I'm with you on preferring a watch to gain a little rather than lose. I once missed a train on account of one of my old Steelfishes losing time. Fortunately IWC say they never let one of their watches lose time which is great IMO.

In terms of the first scratch, mine arrived courtesy of the IWC technicians when I sent it in for one of it's 3 regulations. Another great example of the care afforded by the Richemont Group.

And by the way, that's a great collection you have there Steve. Superb pieces all round.

I believe you recently said that the scratch was buffed out of your BP. I hope so. It's inexcusable that IWC technicians would scratch a watch case, much less let it go unnoticed. I've always felt any scratches we get on a watch -- no matter what brand -- should be earned by us, not a careless tech.

Speaking of Steelfish, I haven't worn mine in months. Since I've lost weight, the bracelet's gotten much too lose. Guess I'll have to have a link or two taken out . But the nearest dealer is 60 miles away...I'm making excuses... Talk to you later.

Yes, the IWC guys totally removed the scratch on it's second regulation visit, but you're right it should NEVER have happened in the first place, and they should NEVER have returned it to me without polishing it out.

But anyway, it's all water under the bridge now.

Wear that BP in good health Steve.
