I recently added an "emergency" the electronic (aerospace) style.
to my collection. The serial number is 5884. Can anyone tell me how to find out when it was manufactured.

Thanks in Advance

Hi and welcome to the site.
Since appoximately 2003 Breitling has date stamped it's watches between the 6:00 lugs so I would start by looking to see if yours has this. If it does, the first two digits indicate the week of manufacture and the second two digits are the year. If your emergency is older then it may not have these numbers. If it does not then there are ways to get pretty close to a date by the reference number. If the reference number is 76031 or 76321 then the watch is from 2002 or later. Prior to this date the emergency used the caliber 56 and the reference number will begin with this number either 56121, 56121.1 or 56321 dating the watch to between the first year of manufacture - 1995, to 2001.
