I would have to agree. UTC only looks right on the proffesional series IMO (oh, and the Blackbird)

The gap between the 6 o'clock lugs and the UTC is Grand Canyonesque! Just not my cup of tea.

Just plain weird-looking. Personally I only like the old UTC on Chronomats, and the new Co-Pilot on the Professional series.

I have a vague idea that that UTC is not for the Nav rather for a B1 (Navs did have UTCs however).

A couple of mine:

And thanks for the comps Gentlemen:

Alan, lovely set of UTC bracelets yuo have there. When you mention that Navs did have UTC, what do you mean by that? Is there a Nav bracelet with a Nav UTC sold officially by Breitling?

UTC = Coordinated Universal Time

Quote:
Coordinated Universal Time is abbreviated UTC. The International Telecommunication Union wanted Coordinated Universal Time to have a single abbreviation for all languages. English speakers and French speakers each wanted the initials of their respective language's terms to be used internationally: "CUT" for "coordinated universal time" and "TUC" for "temps universel coordonné". This resulted in the final compromise of using "UTC".

i think its the bezel mainly that doesnt match on the UTC. If someway they could make it match the NAV then id like it.
Thats alot of UTCs you have there Alan. Do you know if they make a prof1 bracelet with a UTC polished sides and brushed center?

The UTC module on that Navitimer is an A70174 which is only specified for the Crosswind, Headwind, B-1 and B-2 models. The correct UTC module for an Old Navitimer is shown below on its original 5 segment UTC specific Pilot bracelet. The north side end link is identical to the Old Nav/Cosmo bracelet and the south side has a 19 to 18mm taper for proper fit to the module plus the module utilizes the 22mm adapter link to match the flush case fit of the north side end link.
Best,
Ron
